Our Savior lives. He existed before the world began, visited planet earth in human flesh, bled, died and was buried. Three days later He emerged from the grave (as He said He would), showed Himself openly to over five hundred at one time, taught, ate and spent time with His friends.
More than a month after rising from the dead, the Lord Jesus ascended back to heaven where He now reigns. |
We're in His place.Like an intruder sprawled on one's favorite chair without invitation, we presumptuously assume the Master's place of honor. But it's not just a case of poor manners. It's far more grievous--a matter of profound ignorance and unbelief.
Christ didn't rise from the dead to be disrespected. Jesus is Lord and King of all. One day every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that fact--willingly or under compulsion. Christ understands our specific circumstances and He alone possesses all the wisdom & power to rescue us from our troubles. But we need to recognize His rightful place of supremacy in our life. Right now we have the opportunity to: 1 - dethrone ourselves from power 2 - yield to God's authority & purpose for our life 3 - trust Him to lead us and guide us Unnatural as this may seem, it will be the most sane course of action you've ever taken. Don't wait on it. |
Seek Him with all your heart.
Seek Him in the Scriptures.
"All who seek the LORD will praise him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy." Psalm 22:26 Seek Him in Spirit-filled believers in Christ. "I'm eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. In this way, each of us will be a blessing to the other." Romans 1:12 Seek Him in His vibrant, expanding church. "Since you are so eager to have spiritual gifts, ask God for those that will be of real help to the whole church." 1 Cor 14:12 |
